SHEPPEY FM ROADSHOWS- OUT AND ABOUT IN THE COMMUNITY

Our roadshow team are available for any event big or small, be it a carnival, school fete, memorial service or a small stall outside a shop, whatever you need we can usually cater for you. Our team provide a fun and professional service, playing the music that you require from our extensive database, talking to and interacting with the public and just doing what we do best, entertaining. We have all relevant licenses, public liability insurance, fully PAT tested equipment and all our team are DBS checked, so you can be sure we are risk free too.

2nd May 2026- Men-Talk UK Fundraiser Sheerness

Huge congratulations to Roland and super star Ryan on a fantastic event raising funds for men’s mental health. There was a BBQ, Cake stalls, a 100 Mile Bike challenge by Ryan, Live Music and more!  Proud to support and be a part of such a wonderful day.

14th March 2026 – Krazy Kidz World Opening

The Roadshow team were delighted to be at the opening launch of Krazy Kidz World, at The Forum in Sittingbourme. It was so lovely to see the little ones dancing along to the music whislt enjoying all the soft play, ineractive and sensory features the new venue had to offer.

21st December 2025 – The Nore Academy Christmas Fete

Our last Roadshow of the year at Nore Estuary Academy’s Christmas Fete event. Big congratulations to the PTA and parents that made it a very special day for the children. We loved it and even got to hang out with The Grinch! We look forward to supporting your community events next year. 

27th November 2025 – Seashells Christmas Light Switch On

The roadshow team got to get festive for the Seashells Christmas light switch on Thursday 27th November. We all braced the cold but had a great time turning on their festive lights. Seashells do so much for families in Sheppey and Swale, after losing council funding its been a difficut time for them, but it didnt stop them putting on a fantastic family Christmas event for all to enjoy, it was great to be a part of it.

21st September 2025 – The Baton of Hope

On Sunday 21st, our roadshow team were down at EKCSS for the Baton of Hope that has travelled across Kent and Medway to raise awareness for suicide awareness. This was an honour and a privilge as such a fantastic cause, suicide affects so many people and its very close to the heart for many at Sheppey FM,

13th and 14th September 2025 – Queenborough Classic Ships

On Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September, our Roadshow Team braced the wet and windy weather and enjoyed a whole weekend with Classic Ships and sea shanty tunes down at Queenborough Harbour on the Jetty. This is a very different and enjoyable event that we are fortunate enough to be invited to every year, its great fun for all the family, educational too!

27th July 2025 – Seashells Fundraiser at Co-Op Club Sheerness.

On Sunday 27th July Neal M Williams with the help of lots of other Sheppey FM volunteers put on a fundraiser event for Seashells Children & Families Centre. Special thanks to Councillor Maxwell Harrison for coming along with the deputy leader of KCC and pledging some money and to Councillor Elliott Jayes for coming along to support the event and bringing his family all spending money and enjoying the festivities. A thank you to Sheerness CO-OP Sports And Social Club for allowing us to use your venue and a huge thanks to everyone that came along and supported the event. We had entertainment from Zoe, Steve, Jack, Luke and Sasha doing Boogie Babes and dressing up, Anna with her Nerf War Games, Mr and Mrs Babz with their Reggae Picnic, Wayne with his 90s Dance, Lee with his Karaoke and also non Sheppey FM guys that gave their time to support like LA Live Percussion with his Bongos, DJ SSB and Ciarran with their Kisstory Set and The Bear with some fantastic catering. Plus everyone that came with inflatables, face painting and other stalls. It was great fun but we have also learned a lot so the next one will be even better. We are proud to say we raised over £1700 for Seashells, once again thank you all

26th July 2025- Rotary Club Annual Beer and Cider Festival

On Saturday we supported the 17th Annual Beer and Cider Fest hosted by The Rotary Club of Minster On Sea at Sheppey United FC Holm Park. It was a fantastic day despite the torrential downpour in the middle of the day, great bands and friendly crowd. The Rotary Club as usual done a fabulous job, with support of many local businesses, raising money for Island Charities. 

8th June 2025- Kent Police Swale Community Day

Our team were on top form and their best behavior (haha!) on Sunday 8th , as they provided the music and PA System for Kent Police, looking and sounding amazing, at the Kent Police Swale Community Fun Day event at the Appleyard Sports Ground in Gore Court Road in Sittingbourne.
Our professional team impressed the High Sheriff of Kent too as he joined them to open the event.
A great day was had by all  with lots of useful information and advice for the whole community from a huge variety of charities and services, the event organizers received fantastic feedback and even though the weather was windy the sunshine never et us down!

25th May 2025- Sheppey Minature Engineering Club- Barton’s Point Coastal Park

Sunday 25th May our Roadshow team was out and about staying on track at Bartons Point supporting the Sheppey Minature Engineering Club on their open day fundraiser! It was great day for a train ride which the team all took advantage off between “tracks”. Another well attended and fun family event that we got stuck into, we highly recommend a visit to Barton’s Point Minature Railway on a Sunday, only £1 a go!  Well done all who helped make the afternoon a great success!

26th April 2025- STC St George’s Day Event at Beechfields Park

We were proud and honoured to be a part of the St George’s Day event at Beechfields Park at the weekend, all put together by Sheerness Town Council, there was an amazing selection of things to see and do for all ages! There was a circus skills workshop, bouncy castles, games, stalls, archery, a magician, Punch and Judy show, with performances from The Medway Brass Band and the Song Signing Choir too! With our own Roadshow Team there in abundance to provide the soundtrack for the day and the all important PA and information point. The day was a well attended fantastic success! Well done all involved!

1st February 2025- I.E.S Grand Opening Event

Our Roadshow Team was back in action on Sat 1st February with the brother and sister team of Luke and Sash Bash! A great double act playing hot tunes on a cold day, supporting the opending of a great new local business. Our DJ duo were at Wallbrook trading estate in Queenbrough for the opening event of I.E.S Electrical Supplies, who have added their services to the growing commercial estate.
With a free bouncy castle, plenty of hot food and drink and great music, the day was very busy and a lot of fun , a great start for the new Roadshow Year! Well done to our team and we wish IES all the best for the flourishing of their great business.

16th November- MENTalk- Football Fundraiser at The Appleyard

Our Roadshow Team braved the weather on Saturday 16th November to support the teams in the big match MSAS vs MENTALKHEALTH SITTINGBOURNE at the AppleYard Sports Ground at Gore Court Road in Sittingbourne. A great match with a display of true sportsmanship and well humoured fun. We ended of the day with all those attending dancing for Joules a local girl who is terminally ill as part of a wider TikTok  campaign. Well done to all involved!

29th October 2024 – Sheppey Matters Big Bash

Sheppey Matters put on a fantastic, well attended event full of families from all over the island, this last Tuesday 29th October, the theme was Halloween, so the team got into full spirit in full costumes, spooky music and fun games with treats for the young visitors, some grown ups too! A brilliant day with lots of fun had by all.

27th October 2024 – Bayview Garden Centre Halloween Fun Day

The spooky Roadshow crew were out at the weekend causing havoc at the Bayveiw Garden Centre in Leysdown supporting them at their Halloween Spooktacular! Playing creepy tunes for all the guys and ghooouls! Our team consisted of Pirate Captain Zoe, Bloody Bride Charlie , Uncle Screamin’ Steve , Melody Butterfly and Semi-Serious Sash. A great time was had there was ample to do ending in a massive firework display !

2nd June 2024 – SEVC Classic Car Show

VRROOMM! Our Roadshow team was on top gear , pumping out the driving tunes for the SVEC Classic Car show at the Sheppey Sports Club! Lots of brilliant cars from the decades past! Our team keeps growing a big thanks to Mrs Babz who joined us for a roadshow to remember, great time was had by all especially our car enthusiast Dusty who was in his element, on a lovely sunny day. 

27th May 2024 – Barton’s Point Fun Day

Our team had the best day at Barton’s Point Coastal Park, there were classic cars, fun races and sports activities, rides on the minature railway, the Sheppey Pirates firing their cannons and even some magic from Professor Dumbledore all the way from Hogwarts! We as always enjoyed supplying the music and PA for the day.

12th May 2024 – C.A.L.M Charity Fundraiser with Icelands Neats Court

Icelands at Neats Court put together a fundraiser event for C.A.L.M (Campaign against living miserably), where their customers and passer-bys got to meet Spiderman and have a little dance. Our team had a great day providing the music and even recruited Spiderman himself for a while. 

30th April 2024 – St George’s Day Event SBC

Our team had a great day at Beachfields Park, taking part in the Sheerness Town Council St George’s Day Event. The town was heaving with happy attendees and filled with laughter, entertainment, charity stalls, fun games, even donkeys! We supplied the sound system for the day, emergency meet up point, music for the dance troups, baton twirling and the song signers. The Town Council were on form and put on a spectacular event, the weather was stunning too.

4th April 2024 – Kent Masters House Launch Day

Today’s Open Afternoon was a great success. The sun shone and there were big smiles all around.
Madam Mayor of Swale Cllr Sarah Stephen, her consort Clllr Paul Stephen, the Leader of the Council Cllr Tim Gibson, along with many representatives from the community ( Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) EKC Group, supporters Helen Rushton and our Chair of Trustees Chris Peroini, revisited to see exactly what was going on.
They were greeted by the amazing young entrepreneurs: NDH Productions, Pixie Pictures, English Pharoahs, Carys Pet Services and Sheppey is Ours. They all proudly showed off their studio spaces and told them how their businesses were growing with the help of Launch It.
It just showed how they are trailblazers in what they were achieving, in such a short time and on the Island.
After much laughter and shared stories, the VIP guests headed up to the fabulous art exhibition in the function hall. There we were met by the amazing  Song Signing Choir and our Sheppey FM team. There was not a dry eye in the house as they watched these dedicated and talented people sign to the songs. This is such a community hub, where everyone works together. It was a great day all round and the Mayor and other VIP’s seemed very happy, thank you for letting us be a part of it.

28th March 2024- Aspire School Easter Event

Our roadshow team proudly attended the Easter Event put on by Aspire School in Sittingbourne. The school is a fantastic SEN primary provision, the staff and children were lovely and very engaging. Zoe, Melody and Ash enjoyed playing with the visiting ponies whilst it was quiet.

9th December 2023 – Sheerness Town Team Christmas Event

Today our team were enjoying the festivities put on in town by Sheereness town team, we had fair rides, stalls, santa, some reindeer and the fantastic public of Sheerness, our team fought the cold weather and supplied the much needed sound system for the day for bands, performers and safety announcements, as well as playing the best festive music. 

29th October 2023 – Shurland Halloween Fayre

Our team including young mascot Melody and Youth Presenter Luke were up at Shurland Dale Holiday Park today having a fantastic time with stalls and rides whilst providing the music and PA for the event. Great day all round for the team and big thanks to our newest member on the roadshow team young Luke who done a fantastic job. we all enjoyed the day even if the weather was tempramental. Thanks to Shrland Dale for being so welcoming and of course for inviting us along.

17th October 2021 – Red October Fun Day

The Red Lion in Blue Town hosted a fun day and Red October 10k run in aid of many charities including cats protection. The Sheppey FM Roadshow team were invited along to keep up the morale of the runners and play some great music for all in attendance. It was fantastic fun and a success all round.

11 & 12th September 2021 – Classic Ships Festival

Queenborough Harbour Trust hosted their annual Classic Ships Festival and we had the privilege of having our roadshow out on the jetty, like a roadshow on the sea, we got to play some great sea shanty music, along with any other requests and meanwhile look at some amazing boats, we even got to see the brand new RNLI lifeboat on her first tour around the harbour. We look forward to more of the same next year.

28th August 2021 – Eastchurch Marathon

Firefighters, in aid of the fire service, walked a distance of 13 miles in full fire gear in very hot weather too, and also completed 13 miles on a rowing machine in the carpark at Morrison’s Neats Court, Queenborough. The Sheppey FM roadshow team were in attendance to cheer them on and to draw in the crowd, a great day with lots of money raised for a great cause.

14th August 2021 – Sunset Seaside Stroll

Every year for the Sunset Seaside Stroll, as the beach behind the studio is the halfway point, we have volunteers on the promenade with a drinks stand to refresh the strollers and our roadshow team on the roof facing the beach, entertaining the strollers as they come past and offering them words of encouragement and support. It’s a fantastic event that always raises a lot for Cancer Research UK.

14th August 2021 – Sheerness Green Carnival Parade

For this years carnival, the floats and cars were banned and instead Chris Reed eith Big Fish Arts, led an environmentally friendly carnival parade with hand made lanterns and decorations. there were an eclectic range of stalls and entertainment in the town. Sheppey FM were there with our roadshow, taking part, playing music, giving stickers to the children and even working with the Song Signing choir. A fabulous day that we all loved being a part of.

4th July 2021 – Sheppey Matters Litter Pick

Sheppey Matters hosted a litter pick at Barton’s Point Coastal Park, with music and BBQ for participants, it was a very windy day and the rain kept on threatening our progress, nonetheless the litter pick was a success and the coastal park was left completely litter free. Sheppey FM Roadshow provided the music and PA for the event and even took part in the pick themselves.
