Paul Harper & Abby Dewberry from the Hope St Centre, S/ness talked to Mick about their wide range of valuable services & activities. The centre is a charity offering skills & employment support, with a ‘Job Club’ every Monday 1pm~3.30pm, computer training, every Weds 9.30am~ midday, advice sessions, volunteering & work placements for adults with learning difficulties. Paul & Abby talked about the ‘Blue Tree Social Club’,which provides snooker, table tennis, cake-making, arts & crafts, bingo…and much more, for adults with long term health problems & disabilities in a friendly environment.Every Tues 1pm~3pm at Hope St & every Weds 1pm~3pm at S/ness Youth Centre, Meyrick Rd.Its completely free. They also mentioned ‘Sport England’ event offering recreational & sporting activities for disabled & disadvantaged adults in Swale, Most activities are free & carers/family are welcome.
